Sometimes, I feel that I don’t know shit…

So, there’s a turbine valve test this weekend (guess when… starts Saturday at midnight and scheduled to last about 4 hours) and I’m assigned to represent DEI to fix any software glitches. Of course, SO is right, if I didn’t get assigned to this testing, I’d just whine and complain for weeks for being left out of the action… it really is a mixed blessing.
Today, I opened TriStation…. and, guess what, I have no idea what I’m doing. It’s been such a long time since I touched the program… I promptly freaked out when I realized I don’t even remember how to search for tags. Then I remembered that Kim’s writing a cheat sheet for me… AND he’s going with me to the manager meeting to prep for the testing… AND he’s been with me in the meeting to prep for the manager meeting… (yes, we have a meeting to prep for the meeting to prep for the testing). So, basically, he’s doing this whole thing without standing in the control room from midnight to 4AM on Saturday. This makes me feel both cheated and useless.
The Holidays…

God… it’s that time of the year again… Nothing goes right around this time.
Since all my action items and job performance items are assigned on an annual basis, I usually don’t have any assignment for the next year until… well until next year’s action items and JPPS rows around. However, this is also the time when Jay goes around yelling at us to put more work on our plate. He said that according to P3, we should all be fired come January 1st.
I… don’t get it…

It’s really boring and over the top, all at the same time…
